Year 1929. International Exhibition of Barcelona. In this context, it was decided to build Poble Espanyol on Montjuïc mountain, a synthesis of Spanish architecture, crafts and cultural wealth during the Exhibition. Almost a century later, El Poble is a vivid reflection of the soul of a country and an outdoor area without traffic, ideal to enjoy as a family, as a couple or with friends. The Poble Espanyol is a unique town built from the recreation of 117 buildings, on a real scale, from different Spanish regions. A quiet and pleasant walk will allow you to discover the variety of the architectural heritage of the peninsula: from the Andalusian quarter to Catalan Romanesque monastic architecture.
