More than 2,000 m2 of gallery space exhibit almost a thousand pieces, including sarcophagi, mummies, jewels and amulets, to give us a greater understanding of everyday life and the prevailing customs of the ancient civilization of the pharaohs.The Egyptian Museum of Barcelona considers it essential that visitors can visit its rooms accompanied by Egyptologists, since knowing the Egyptian collection by the hand of specialists is the best way to deepen and increase their knowledge. In addition to the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions that are exhibited regularly, the museum organizes other activities that allow the visitor to enjoy the museum fund in a more pleasant way. Example of these activities are the night visits that, in addition to the explanations of the guide, incorporate the presence of actors that represent dramatized scenes throughout the tour.Another of the activities proposed by the museum is the so-called "Eternal Banquet", a guided tour focused on Egyptian culinary art that offers visitors the chance to taste products that were part of the diet of this ancient civilization.
